Bowie Thrills in Overtime Win Against Plano West- 2/18/2011

With three minutes left in overtime on Friday night in Texas High School Lacrosse League Divions I play, James Reis scored the game winning goal to lift Bowie over Plano West, 7 – 6. Trailing the entire game, the go ahead goal was the only lead Bowie needed. Plano West led 4 – 1 at the break, but relinquished its lead to only 5 – 4 by the end of the third quarter. Bowie goalie, A.J. Cole, tallied 13 saves to keep the victory within reach.

Plano West attackman Luke Rivera had a hat-trick and teammate midfielder Garrett Ford put two past Cole. Wolves goalie Ryan Graber managed 10 saves.

Bowie (3 – 0) is making its presence known throughout Division I with an excellent start to the season. Plano West (0 – 1) aims to get its first in against the Mules of Alamo Heights (0 – 2) on Saturday, February 19th at 1:00pm.
